'Proud to be Me: Cambodia LGBT Pride 2011' is happening!! Come celebrate and embrace human diversity!!

Pride 2011 is the biggest event of the year! There are 27 events happening at 16 different venues over 9 days! Events include 3 art exhibitions, 1 week of film festival, blessing ceremony and family/community day, workshops, annual biggest drag show and competition, pool tournament, karaoke nights, parties and more....

Let's kick off Pride officially at the opening of 'Proud Out Loud' art exhibition at Meta House #37, Sothearos Blvd., on Tue 10th May at 6pm, followed by launching of Film Festival (at same place) at 8:00pm.

Two more weeks until Pride 2011 kicks off.

Cambodia PRIDE is starting one day earlier now ... Walk With Pride Asia exhibition at K'NYAY on Monday 9th May 5.30pm and then onto The Flicks at 8pm for a free screening of 'Priscilla Queen of the desert'!

The official opening event is the NGO forum on Tuesday 10th. The Art Exhibition also opens on the evening of Tuesday 10th at Meta House...

We hope you are all prepared for a busy week, with the Film Festival screening two films (one Khmer and one English) each night at Meta House, a number of parties at Rainbow Bar, Blue Chilli and Pontoon, and a range of workshops happening during the week also...!

We look forward to seeing you all during the week from May 09 - May 17... This year also we are planning some small events in Siem Reap and Battambang, so it is great to see Pride reaching out to the provinces also...!

Only 4 more weeks to go to LGBT Pride 2011…! It all kicks off on Tuesday May 10^th and runs to the 17^thwith a week full of activities and events for everyone LGBT and friends.

The Community Day is back on Friday 13^th May with a line up of games and fun to keep everyone entertained…! This year there are some new activities including LGBT Skating and LGBT Snooker. Your nights will be full too, with Blue Chilli hosting its annual Pride Drag Show on Friday 13^th May, Pontoon offering two nights on Thursday 12^th and Sunday 15^th, as well as events in Rainbow Bar, The Local, and The Empire.

The schedule of events will be up online next week, but until then don’t plan any trips outside Phnom Penh…!

As with last year we will celebrate Cambodia Pride from the 10^th-17^th May, to coincide with International Day Against Homophobia (IDAHO) 2010.

We have a busy team of Cambodian and international volunteers working hard to make Cambodia Pride 2010 even more fabulous than 2009, if that’s possible! So get your dancing shoes on and get ready to paint Phnom Penh pink once again with a fab line- up of activities!

Join us for a week of art exhibitions, film festivals, womens parties, drag shows, club nights, workshops, dancing and more!

Pride last year was possible with the generous support from the LGBT groups and individuals from all over the globe from America to Russia to India. We would welcome support again, whether financial, technical or just a email to share the love ;o)

11th- 17th May saw LGBT people coming out to celebrate Phnom Penh Pride which coincided with International Day Against Homophobia (IDAHO) 2009!

Thank you to everyone who came out and was proud at Phnom Penh Pride! We had lots of fun including, film festivals, art exhibitions, drag shows, games, beauty pageants, lots of parties! Apart from the partying we also had very important workshops for the Khmer LGBT community to let their voice be heard. We welcomed international LGBT friends from across the globe and national LGBT friends from the provinces of Cambodia and Phnom Penh was full of the Pride love! This is just the beginning so please do continue to stay in contact so we can let you know about new events!

We would like to say a MASSIVE thank you to everyone who has helped so far by donating their time, energy or money! Without you Pride would not be possible.
